x2its like listening to LP's
I've had good luck just bouncing a single flash and using a white background.I need a way to photograph jewelry effectively, as well as some furniture for a gig I might be getting. Kinda nervous actually. I'd want a ring light, but man are those expensive.
It depends on how much you intend on shooting and developing. There's no way I'd be doing what I am doing right now if I had to shoot film. It just wouldn't be worth it. I do mostly event photography, and I probably shoot 10-20x as many frames/year as you. Hell, I've shot well over 3,000 frames in a single DAY before! That would get real spendy with filmi legitimately don't understand why "film is expensive." unless you shoot a ton, that is. your cost is laid out by how much you use it, unlike digital where you spend all your money up front.
at $7/roll (high number), and the cost of a basic (used) dslr is $500...thats 70 rolls of film...1700 pics...
sure, digital is nice to mess around with. rolling your own B&W film, developing it yourself, and scanning it yourself is less than $2/roll. 8 cents a pic. equal to 6200 digital "frames."
i shoot on average 3000 pics a year...keeping maybe 400-1000 or so, depending on the subject matter. shooting film gives you more keepers...it just does...
Nice pic man. New BB Tour, or is that the Bold? Can't tell, but it looks like the Tour.I've had good luck just bouncing a single flash and using a white background.
Shot this in about 5 minutes when I got my new phone earlier today:

I can see your point about low initial investment though. I'm sure those couple hundred pictures a year that you take look every bit as good as the ones I take once they are printed out! And if you don't plan on developing a ton of them, it's MUCH cheaper to get film equipment.

Hmm, well not if I get it unlocked....lolbold is ATT only...so...tour![]()
