Ray I've subscribed to his stream a looong time ago after I peeped a few shots from yours. He takes epic shots.

Tagged along with my friend at another one of his model shoots, this time I brought some of my gear along to snap some behind the scenes shots when I wasn't holding a reflector or light stand lol...

nice view of south Ft Lauderdale beach...

that good of light output with just speedlights?? does he have them at full power and which ones does he shoot with?

It's become my second job, I still work at the grocery store I've been at since highschool for 35hrs. Photography gets done whenever I'm not there.

He's usually got them between half and full power, but he gets the shots because the D40 has an electronic shutter and he can get sync speeds of like 1/3200 and crazy **** like that. He can kill sunlight with just the speedlights being able to do that. Hanging around him has made me appreciate the D40 lol

ok guys so here is my question, i can't seem to take rolling shots right. In low light they work out somewhat but in sunlight or brighter conditions it just won't work. Any suggestions?

yeah but it doesn't work out right for me for some stupid reason. Am i panning too fast? should i pan at all in high light conditions?

Well, be more specific, post pictures so we know what you're working with.

You shouldn't be panning if you're in another car doing rolling shots of a car next to you. Put the camera on TV mode, set the shutter to 1/100, and take the pic, then post it here. It should look fine!

Yea, that's more of a tracking shot lol. No panning required really.
