guys need some input on how and where to point the flash and at what power level to get this sort of an effect using one speedlite? I know multiple shots need to be taken just where exactly to bounce the flash from and power level.

We can't tell you that lol. Honestly, You have to experiment because it depends on the camera settings and obviously the environment settings. If I were to tell you it would take the fun out of it

All I'll say is start high and work your way down once you dial in your settings.

Yea, I have Magic Lantern on my T2i. I have a BG-E2n grip and about 6 batteries, so if I were to get a 50D I'd be good on that part.

Yea, post up some video when you can. Can you play it back on the camera or do you have to connect it to a computer? No pc required right?

You can't play it back on the camera, but it doesn't require a PC. I'm running mine on a Mac, as far as I know it should work on PC and Linux too. To install you just have to put a file on a formatted memory card and then go through the process of installing new firmware, so it can all be done from the camera.

Here's a quick sample video. Nothing exciting haha but hopefully it gets the point across. I'll post something a bit more exciting once I play around with it some more.

I was asking about the PC because some software allows you record video with the live view on the 40D, but you need to be tethered to a PC.

Just took at look at the ML wiki for the 50D. I'm so jealous! I want a 50D

60D build quality isn't like the 30/40/50D. Dat Magnesium alloy build.
No PC sync port, so I can't trigger my flashes without a hotshoe adapter.
SD format, what do I do with all my high speed CF cards?
5.3 fps burst mode vs 6.3 and 6.5 for 50D and 40D.
I can't use the 7 batteries + battery grip that i have for my 40D. Plus the 60D grip is too new for knockoffs, and the same for the batteries.
Oh, and the 50D is less expensive too haha

^This. I considered the 60D when I was upgrading to my 50D. The build quality was a big thing for me, the magnesium body fees so much more solid than the 60D's plastic one.

Looking into another inexpensive flash to use with my D60. I got a remote flash triggering kit and would like to experiment with using multiple flashes. Any suggestions? Was thinking of just getting like a Nikon SB-24 and seeing how that goes...
