So i was doing my amp couple days ago, i forget to put the amp power wire

fuse cover on, so the amp power wire touch a metal spot (not sure where right

now will check tomorrow) somewhere near the throttle body and the cruise

control wire, the cruise control wire (near the throttle body end) burt so bad

with smoke. then the cruise control did not work anymore (no light on the

cluster). but the car drives normal.

and today i was driving at 45 mph and hit the cruise control, the cruise

control light up on the cluster but not adjustable.

all of sudden THE CAR WENT WOT TO THE REDLINE!! i pressed the brake and

hand brake. car did not wanna stop i ended up shift to N gear and turn off the

key.

when i tried to start the car again it just go WOT and unable to shift to N

or any gear.

i tried to disconnect the two sensor/plug near the cruise control body and get

the cruise control/ECU fuse out on the driver side fuse box, disconnect battery

for 10 mins. reconnect the battery. nothing changed!

bling and CEL show up now.

1.cruise control problem?disable the cruise control?

2.ECU fxxk up?

3.AUTO TRANNY die due to the D4 blinking?

i have no ideal what is going on right now.
guys i need your help! thank you!

i think you shorted something out by letting it come in contact. that's a lot bad symptoms happening at once. Can you check all fuses to make sure its still good cuz those are the first to go before anything.

thank you!

i will check all the fuses tomorrow morning.

i just check the contact point which is a mounting point for the aftermarket cold air intake, and there is a orange sensor/plug under the rubber spacer. the rubber bunt so bad and the cruise control wire is melt.

i will get some pic tomorrow.

thank you

Yeah maybe that CC module is jacked up now, who knows, but just disconnect the crusise control cable and or don't use it. Isn't there a black relay box for the cruise control under the front dash somewhere that you can check?

THANK YOU ALL GUYS!

I checked all the fuses today and they are all good.

so i was moving around the cruise cable at the throttle body and the car came back to normal.

i still don't what was the problem. but problem solved.:bukkake:

so i thought there is something stuck at the cruise line or throttle body.

and i disconnect the cruise control at the steering wheel and the button by the sunroof button.never wanna use CC anymore.

after all that i check my engine oil. I DONT HAVE ANY OIL AT THE DIP STICK!

maybe it is because every time i start the car it went WOT and burnt alot of oil.

ending up adding 2 bottles of new oil.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for giving me some ideals.

+1 for curse control.

Had a Pontiac Grand Am at work today that would randomly go WOT driving down the road, turned out the throttle cable unclipped itself from the bracket and lodged against a radiator hose clamp. Scary time on the test drive.
