Hi,

I just bough an 02 Accord Coupe (4cyl) and the car was dropped quite a bit. It has Eibach Sportlines on stock socks and it sits 2" lower. I want to put the car back to stock, so I ordered a set of KYB-GR2 socks and H&R OEM-Sport springs. The Spring part number is 51853-55. It only drops the front with .75" and the back with 0.5". I replaced the fronts and it raised the car so it looks stock.

The problem is the rear. The springs are even shorter than Eibachs I have already. If I put them side by side, the H&R uncompressed is the same heights as the Eibach compressed and installed. You can assemble the whole thing in the back by hand and free-spin the springs around. It absolutely makes no sense. I called tirerack.com and they sent me a new set yesterday. I compared it and it is the exact same as the old one -- TOO SHORT. I went onto H&R's website and verified the parts numbers stamped and everything should be correct but it isn't. I am absolutely stumped with this one.

If anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

thats correct. some lowering springs are much shorter than the stock and dont have to be compressed when installed.. as long as you seat them in the perch and set the car on the ground you will be good..
