Possible to remove "PRND321" indicator?

Hey guys. Quick question, just wondering if anyone out there has removed the gear indicator from the gauge cluster on our cars. Does it detach from the rest of the cluster? Can it be easily covered by something? This is what I'm talking about.. (Look in between the Gas and Temp Gauges)

I'm focused on this because soon I will commencing my 6 speed manual swap and I'd like to get rid of that indicator since I won't need it. It seems that only '01-'02 Auto Coupes got the Grey cluster w/ Red needles, and I'd really rather not switch to the Black cluster w/ Amber needles.

I mean that's part of the cluster face..... So I guess you could put duct tape over it....

Or just get a manual cluster.

It won't remove, but the only light that should light up is R, if you wire up your reverse lights correctly. If that makes sense. I guess you can cover it. My car was prev AT. I wired up my reverse lights and my R still shows on my cluster, when I shift to reverse. I actually kinda like it. Its a reminder of how far my car has come from when I got it. lol

Well thats pretty self-explanatory but thanks for some input at least.

- I don't want to cover it with tape lol, the reason I asked if it was feasible to cover was because I wasn't sure how much space there actually is between the face of the gauge and the glass over it. I was thinking more of a thin, color-matched adhesive plate.

- I don't want a manual cluster because to the best of my knowledge. Only V6, '01-'02 Accords have red needles and gray faces. I don't want to downgrade to black/amber.

Hmmm.. maybe its that coupes have red needles, while sedans have amber. I know for a fact that the grey/black difference comes from having either a 98-00 or a 01-02.

I have never seen a Manual 6GA Cluster with Grey + Red needles before though.

Pretty much all u could do is get new gauge faces for a stick or get a new gauge cluster

Just find a grey gauge face from another 01 or 02 and swap it onto it.

Honda is lazy as fuck. They wouldn't differentiate the models that much.

I'm pretty sure the grey faces with red needles was another one of those little upgrades they did for 01-02.
So, you should be able to use a cluster from a 2001 or 2002 four banger five speed Accord. I don't think there are any difference between the I4 and V6 clusters either. Just try to find one with miles close to yours, if you mind that.
