I installed my transmission, got the manual transmission "computer" from the junkyard along with the key from the same donor car... I managed to cut that donor key to match my original key with my dremel.. pretty lucky if you ask me, but it works...now as far as the wiring I followed a diagram that was found on here my reverse lights work, and I repinned d10 to c23 but I cannot find the blue and white wire that is said to be behind the cluster... no blue and white wire in sight... I'm lost and some help would be appreciated...my car is veerry sluggish and needs good ol vtec to help her along...:Smoker:

Hey noob, this thread is almost a month old. If you have a problem with your car, post under "Accord tech". Generally, if a thread is more than 2 weeks old people do not post, only if they are contributing to help someone solve a problem.

the problem with forums...people ask for help.. and other people type garbage... the reason why I posted on here was when I searched for vss wiring this was one of the few threads that came up that seemed helpful...why post somewhere else where the people in this thread have the answer I'm looking for...

thanx erick yea it is frustrating....i did wire those 2 up already and my car now starts with its key....but the issue is that the 5 speed ecu isnt throwing the green security light on my dash like my auto ecu does...so the guy that was gonna program my key and ecu couldnt do anything....and my car didnt have the vss plug(obviously) so am i supposed to basically make one? or wat? my rpm cuts off at 5000 and i need my speedo and vtec....lol...and also now i have no brake lights...they turn on but when i press my break they dont get brighter.

I got this from a guy on this site and it works perfect. I didnt have to do all those steps that were mentioned in other posts. This is all you need to do to get your speedo to work. I would like to give the guy credit but I dont know his name.

I've done this swap myself a while back and I noticed you're having some troubles with the vss and reverse lamp.

The VSS is really easy. The vss contains 3 wires which are for the ground, power, and signal. The signal stumps a lot of people. On the ecu harness, unhook wire a9 and drop it into c23. Then take signal wire from the vss and tee onto wire c23 of the ecu. Simple.

Here's a link to the diagram of the ecu pins: http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2b.htm

do this few simple steps and your speedo will work. email me if you have any questions.
