I need to get a new power steering pump. The best price I can get on oem through checking both of my hookups with wholesale oem parts, is $300 for reman.
Tas Auto is wanting $323.96 for a reman pump before shipping.

Rock Auto is giving me these options: (price is in order of Price, Core, & Total)
Remanufactured:
AAE Part # 5556 More Info Remanufactured Power Steering Pump $72.79 $38.00 $110.79
LARES Part # 3062 More Info w/o Reservoir; Reman $66.79 $50.00 $116.79
ACDELCO Part # 36P0711 More Info {#19319237} Professional||Remanufactured $103.79 $65.00 $168.79
A-1 CARDONE Part # 215919 More Info {#56110PAAA01} Reman. w/o Reservoir One of our most popular parts $85.79 $90.00 $175.79
ATSCO Part # 5556 More Info Remanufactured; w/o Reservoir $103.79 $90.00 $193.79

New
CARDONE SELECT Part # 965919 More Info {#56110PAAA01} w/o Reservoir $125.79 $0.00 $125.79

The A-1 Cardone pump is saying the most popular, I looked up some reviews and they're naturally mixed.

I just want to see if anyone here has had any good/bad luck with these aftermarket reman pumps.

Thanks

I foresee a failure in response....'cause i have -NEVER- replaced one, on an Accord. So I have no idea if they fail.

If you want to save $money$, check car-part.com

damn!

I thought seal :(

Oh well, just replace (obv) then make sure belt tension is set correctly. V6 has a spring tensioner, but I4 you set it with a bolt (IIRC), excessive tension can cause bad seals or bearings. Insufficient, well, it don't work.

Yeah the oem is a reman and double an aftermarket reman. So I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it.
The car has 225k so I'm not surprised.

^+1, ac delco usually has really good quality parts. I believe they're even an OE parts supplier for GM

If you're into it, maybe you could get away with rebuilding it and replacing bearings?

Otherwise, I replaced a PS pump on a 4 cyl 2 years ago with a reman duralast pump for $99.99 from Autozone. Great pump. No complaints. If I had to do it again, my plan of attack would be attempt a rebuild, and then if it came down to it, go AC Delco or Duralast.
