Ok before I start, let me just say to the moderators that I DID SEARCH BEFORE I POSTED BECAUSE I KNOW THAT IF I DIDN'T I WOULD GET NASTY REPLIES. So, my 2001 Accord's transmission is acting weird. When I come up to a yield sign while driving to work, I coast through it since you aren't required to stop at the sign. And when I put my foot back on the gas, my car hesistates and then bolts me forward and I make the turn and continue on my way. This also happens when I come to a stop sign and I don't completely stop the car. If I kind of roll even at like 1-2 mph it still bolts but not as hard. I don't know what the problem could be so I hope someone here can help me!

How violent is the jerking? Because a small jerking movement is pretty normal with the autos between 1 and 2, and 2 and 3, and varies depending on speed, and accelerating/braking, etc. Also a small jerk is normal when shifting between P, R, N, and D.

It depends each time. It sometimes could be rough and sometimes very little jerk. I asked someone in my family who knows cars and he said I could just be hitting the gas too hard. I'm getting my oil changed in February so should I ask them when I get it done?

Sometimes when I hit the gas the car doesn't even jerk at all and the car just rolls through the turn and then I take my foot off the gas, press it again and I start going. What I just described has only happened once or twice. Could my tranny just be slipping?

Sounds like typical auto slushbox behavior to me. Unless it gets noticeably worse or the rpm's start jumping around when stopping/going, just keep being gentle with it (never floor it), and do regular fluid changes.

Mine use to lurch a bit when it would shift from 2 to 1 while slowing down. And there was a delay while it shifted from 1 to 2. And slightly less so when shifting from 2 to 3. It never got worse though, it drove the same way from 74k miles up to 133k miles, at which point it was still going strong. I just waited until 2nd to ever get on it, and I changed the fluid every 6 months or 6k miles.

Just your typical auto tranny. Driving my stick shift accord is much different than driving our auto accord. When I'm giving it some gas it hesitates and then takes off.
