Do different bulbs in our orig. headlights really make a big difference? Like, if I was to put in some Silverstars, would I be a lot happier with the output? Personally, it seems to me that the 6th gen accords have sub-par stock headlight output. I am planning on blackhousing, so I'm keeping my OEM lights, but wish they were a little brighter.
(Sorry for the slight hi-jack)

silverstars have an alright output to them but i got tired of replacing them every 3 months or so, i found some bulbs online that imo are comparable to the silverstars and only cost like 10 for a pair i believe

Well I took the car out last night to test it out. Yes the output is not as bright as stock but I found it OK.

The passenger side was aligned fairly well but the drivers side is completely out of wack.

The main headlight projectors have a couple of light spillage points which I am not impressed with.

High beams were OK. Hard to tell until I am on a very dark road.

A few things I did notice. On the stock headlights the high beams are wired as my daytime running lights at 1/3 power. On these units the daytime running lights are a separate projector. It is not bright but serves its purpose. I also really like how they look.

The main headlight is this solid piece of glass which I think I will convert to HID on the recommendations here. I will leave the high beams as is.

So for now I think I will put back in the stock headlights and then work on the projectors to get them to where I want them before I put them back in.

1. Replace the H1 bulbs with HIDs
2. Try and fix the light spillage from the main headlights
3. Wire up the halos so I can quickly plug them in with my PIAA fog lights
4. Line up the drivers side headlight as best as I can before reinstalling it
5. fix a loose plug

I really like how these headlights look.

I had the halo projectors at one time for almost 2 years. The light output is terrible and they just got worse on me over the years. I ended up buying the tyc's a lot better and brighter I did not want to go with black housing because they look stock. I wanted something to stick out on the front and they fit perfect unlike the halo projectors. It is all up to you though we just give opinions do what you think is the best. Good luck

I welcome any advice. I just wish I found this forum before I purchased the halos. I am a bit reluctant to spend more money on TYCs but we shall see over time if these ones do not work out.
