putting 93 octane in a 87 octane car?

all fun and games till he wakes up to find his oil pan on the floor with all the internal pressure on the crank case due to high octane. i'd go to firestone for an engine flush asap!

I put 93 octane in my 2000 Honda Accord. It was automatic at the time. The 93 octane caused the torque converter to surge and it cracked the torque converter casing. After this incident I swapped for a manual and added a 55 shot of wet nitrous. I had pumped 93octane for the nitrous but that night I wasn't running any. Wow, my 3rd gear synchro (the one you typically use most) shredded itself against the input shaft.

93 is bad news unless your running high compression or boost.
