I put 93 octane in my 2000 Honda Accord. It was automatic at the time. The 93 octane caused the torque converter to surge and it cracked the torque converter casing. After this incident I swapped for a manual and added a 55 shot of wet nitrous. I had pumped 93octane for the nitrous but that night I wasn't running any. Wow, my 3rd gear synchro (the one you typically use most) shredded itself against the input shaft.
93 is bad news unless your running high compression or boost.
