Question about my engine

So I've noticed that everyone has the engine with the hex bolts that cover the spark plug wire jawns. My engine does not have the hexbolt cover thing, I can just pull the spark plug wires right out. Do I have the same engine? Or what does this mean?

Are you referring to the plastic engine cover that goes over the J30 and J32? The i4 (4 cylinder), there's no cover.

Not sure what you are referencing, got a pic?

Sorry should have said I have the V6. I can't post a pic until tomorrow but if you type in google "1999 honda accord v6 engine" and look at the spark plug wires you will see that there are two types. One type is just a rubber knob (which I have) and the other is a plastic cover with a bolt you must remove.

Yes. The j30 has the spark plug wires only or there is the model where they switched the fronts to coilpacks
