u guys should really start using 10W30 when summer hits.... 5W30 would be ok for winter, but it'll be too thin for summer

183,000 miles on 5w-30 and still going strong. Don't need 10w in mine as far as I'm concerned, but its not going to hurt it or make a difference in it either in my opinion. The newer Hondas use 5w-20... Pretty soon they're just going to use water... lol...

^^183K? dood.. go 10W30.... it'll help fill up lil gaps and such caused by wear and tear... older or high mileage motors OR boosted motors need thicker oil

my car was consuming a LOT of oil when i got it.

145k miles and it would go through a quart in a couple hundred miles!

i tried 10w-30 and even seafoamed it but nothing helped (and seafoam did NOT make it worse).

needed a timing belt, head gasket, and possibly piston ring, so i just had a new engine swapped in.

35k miles, runs great, consumes no oil and it was only $300! (plus labor)

I agree

Cars with over 100K should start using 10w 30 cause it's thicker
