Quick resonator question

Hi guys, i just installed my sri... and wow it sounds BADASS

.

But one little problem, i was impatient and didnt take out the stock intake(just the front bit that goes down into the resonator) and was wondering how i can get it out... if i yank hard enough will it come out or must i use some other method? Thanks in advance

take off the bumper, unscrew 2 bolts and it'll come out

That depends if you drive to floating streets every once in a while. You would suck water faster than if you had the resonator, technicaly I don't think it would matter but I don't think you would gain enough power worthy to do it.

in the stock config the "snorkel" pulls air in from behind the grill.

with the resonator removed the airbox sucks air in from behind the bumper.

in either config. there is NO WAY that you're going to hydrolock, unless you drive through 2-3ft deep water!

^^^ thats why I said "depends"........... Believe or not we have 2-3 ft of deeeeeep water every year here in miami. Thats why I didn't bother to do it.
