Re: Rackedout's Sedan [updated 2/1/12]

Not out of the woods just yet, Esco. I am still going to swap a 6spd into it if it blows up on me but I have been driving all day with no signs of slippage. So after this tune up we will see how it goes. If it slips or all it needs is a solenoid or a 2nd gear pack, I will just do that and wait on the swap. I plan on keeping this car a long time so I am going to do the swap definitely indefinitely but me and my wife would rather spend the money on other things right now. If it goes this week, I will be forced to swap that 6spd into it, if not I have an extra few grand for other stuff we need.

I am sure mine might be one of those issues as well, but I said forget it, just going to do a complete swap.

Hope it is something minor for you though, especially since the funds could be put to other use.

I think you said before, the "professional bedliner", is it going to be the same stuff Matt used that a shop is going to do for you?

No Matt I believe used Raptor liner. I will have ArmorThane do mine at a shop. It is a completely different texture.

Ah ok, cool.

I'll have to look that up and see what it looks like.

I'll say this. Matt's has more of a drop in plastic bedliner look to it as where mine will have the rough texture sparkly spray on bedliner.

Yeah, I looked up some pics of it, looks like pretty good stuff, actually.

A repaint of any kind is not in the works for me right now, but in a couple years, I think I am going to have to seriously look in to a respray of some colour or another.
