I'm going to be installing my Bc extreme lows soon and my oil pan is already super close to the ground so I was wondering if anybody has raised there motor for my ground clearance? If this ends up being super difficult I think I'll just look into doing a skid plate.

I would understand how to raise it from 3 of the 4 Motor mounts but how would you do it on the transmission mount it bolts on from the top unless you get a new one or fabricate one up with less of a drop. just food for thought. by no means a professional.

Skid plate would be the easiest option outside of buying an aftermarket oil pan that might not sit as low.

Post some pics of the coilovers when you get them. I also got the extreme low kit but don't see anything special about them.

Was thinking the same thing. I guess I'll just have to opt for a skid plate

I already have the coilovers. I'll take a pic when I get home from work.

I bought them off my friend who had a TL but he busted his oil pan twice in a month so he sold them to me for super cheap and only 2 months old. This is how low he was daily driving and he could still go a decent amount lower. Can't remember what his spring rates were. I wanna say 14k front and 12k rear

The 2G TL OEM lip kits are so rare, I’d be scared to run them at that height. Hard to believe there was still a ways to go down, BC makes great coilovers though.

I agree with Varnell.

I helped him find the lip kit for for $100 haha. I know whiteav6 or whatever his name his has a skid plate and seems to be fine so it looks like I'll be doing that.
