Rattle sound :skurred:

so every time the car pitches (if i accelerate suddenly, or accelerate while the car is pitching forward from a braking of any sort) i get a rattle sound from the right front of my engine compartment. I've been thinking for a while that its a part of my suspension but then tonight i re-noticed that it make the same sound whenever i start or stop the engine. i have not clue what it is, but i think it may be an engine mount. any ideas guys cuz i dont know jack about weird noises?

hit everything with a hammer, if it makes the same sound, replace it

I have the rattle sound, but it's from my cat...I didn't bolt all of it down so it's rattling whenever my exhaust is going at its deepest tone(the heat shield from the catalytic converter i mean)...double check to see if its that..other than that maybe something loose in the engine compartment or suspension?

yeah i have a rattling sound comming from my cat too.. get a stick and hit it... if it makes a funny sound.. then there u go

it only happens though whenever the engine is under stress and it sounds distinctly from the right wheel well area, you sure its the cat?

if its the cat, the heat shield probably rusted and is making noise. the top half and bottom half both have 4 bolts holding them on.

unscrew bolts, remove shield, put bolts back in, done
