I'm tinting the windows in my 98 4dr. for the front side windows I removed them from the car to make it easier. Now I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the back side windows to do the same. I did the usual, unbolt the window from the track and even unscrewed the track from the door. Still can't get it out. Anyone ever removed it and could give me some pointers ?

Usually I get my windows tinted at a shop. If your trying to squeeze the air out they use a plastic spatula thing to go under the plastic sorrounding the window. I would recommend doing the same instead of taking it off.

Taking them off makes it Alot easier to work out the air bubbles. I might eventually take it to a shop to have them tinted if I don't succeed but trying it myself first. The front windows were a breeze to remove (the whole of 5 minutes to take off). Will try again today to remove them. I figured I need to reomve the small corner glass and perhaps the window rubber to be able to slide them out.

it's called shrinking the tint. and the "bubbles" in the window will go away in a couple days under direct sunlight. the purpose of shrinking tint is in order to remove what we tinters refer to as "fingers". leave the window inside.

Thank you, I've been able to remove the rear side windows. you actually need to remove the window sash (between the sliding window and the corner glass) to have enough room to pull out the window itself. Much easier to work with the glass flat on the dinning room table than half cocked in the car. Now I need to tackle to back glass, will need to shrink it to the outside before I can apply it inside. First time.
