Removal of broken stud in head

I just noticed that one of the studs that attaches my header to my head is broken off inside the head. I know the replacement stud is only $1.10 from my local dealer. My question is how is the easiest way to remove the broken stud and replace it? Would this be something I should just pay a garage to fix? I cannot post pictures but on the link below it is #20 to get an idea of what I am talking about. I need to get this fixed ASAP since it is leaking and throwing codes and killing my mpg

Tried this at the shop and it worked when I broke a screw on my headlight bracket.

EDIT: Shops will charge you $50-$100 just to get it out also.
