Replacing Front Rotors

Hello all I am New to this forum just wanted to add this DIY.

I just replace my front disc with some Brembo Blanks that had been cross drilled and slotted. Yeah yeah I know they will crack and break but i did it.
Below are some pictures i took.

Tools I used:
Jack and Stand
16mm socket
Breaker Bar
WD40
Screw Driver
C Clamp

Tire is removed:

Remove 2 bolts

Took caliper and pads off

Removed 2 more bolts these bolts were on tight so you might need a breaker bar and WD40

Ta Da! old caliper is off

Now use the screw driver to remove the 2 screws holding the DISC on

Once you remove both screws pull (Pry) the disc off

New Rotor

Put the new Rotor on and rescrew the 2 screws

You'll now have to recompress the piston because the new Rotor is Thicker than your old one.

Reverse the Process

It should look like this when done

I know i need new rims but take it for a spin you'll notice smoke coming out but it will go away.

i never knew it was that simple to take your rotors out...ive changed my brake pads before and bled them before but never did my rotors...maybe i will use this diy for future reference...thanks

Remember to grease the smooth ends of the bolts that hold the calipers on. This allows the caliper to float so you get even pressure on both pads.

yeah our accords are one of the easiest brake jobs that I have ever done to a car that I've owned. The rotor replacement is a breeze.

I've done the pad replacement on mine atleast 5 times first time i did it it took me likr 45 mins now i can git ur done in under 20!! I havent done my rotors as of yet , this guy makes it look real easy!!! Nice write up and welcome to the board hommey!!!!

if your car is rusty if can sometimes be a chore to remove the rotors...but if you live down south like me...they will almost fall off once you remove the screws
