If you have a hook up at a bodyshop, either they can hook you up probably as well, or can tell you a place to go, maybe hook you up as well (they might get a deal if they do frequent business).
I'd defineatly go through a professional shop though, just incase any sort of wet sanding, etc, is needed. The most expensive place around here costs around $800 for a full polish/detail, which isn't bad when you see the difference. Many places around here are much more than half that ($200-300), but will only polish and wax your car (won't pay any special attention to spots that need more work).
