my whole exhaust is custom. i have no cat, no resonators, all straight pipe mandrell bend 3" stainless steel. so yes, it was angled, and its an hks hi power turbo muffler.

well today my clutch and flywheel arrived. both look good, and im excited to get them on. the bad news is, the most reasonable price i could find was 470 dollars... thats not terrible, another place wanted 800 but i suppose i have no choice. i was also messing around with the bay today, decided to try a new intake setup, just for fun. i dont know if i prefer this or the way it was before...

ahhh, the sound of an open dump :D

is that an intake from a v6 accord? or is it cut down from some other application?

... its just a spare intercooler pipe i had. its down low so it should get some nicer air than whats in the bay, so hopefully ill see 2-5 hp from getting it more under the car exposed to cooler air, especially since itll be rushing from under the car now. and yes, open dump is cool. i kind of want something to muffle the sounds a little, but i just have to get used to it, it scared me the first time i hit max boost and the gate openeed

well, after 6 months and many thousands of dollars, my car is finally daily driveable!

it went into the shop at 9am to get the new clutch in. i get a call at 3.30 that the car is done but wont start... i go to the shop and its just a dead battery, but then we have a real problem, the car wont go into gear

we bled the clutch 4 times and tried looking at everything, just couldnt get it to disengage... so i call AAA and they wnt tow the car since it was at a dealership and they needed to verify the bill was paid for, but it had already closed an hour ago. so i call the same tow company whos licensed through the AA and the same guy that had towed me that morning came to get my car. were chatting on the way back and it turns out he worked on trannies for 15 years. since id tipped th eguy 15 dollars that morning since he couldnt break a 20, he was happy to take a look. anyway, after 20 minutes hed adjsted the clutch pedal, and the car was running perfectly! so i tipped him another 15 dollars because he really didnt have t odo that.

anyway so i take the car out for a quick spin, do a couple of little 2nd 3rd gear pulls and just as im getting back into the parking lot i see a cop make a u turn and come in behind me, so i pull into a spot, shut off the car an wait.

he asks me why i got pulled over and i ask if it was becasue of my bad driving (i wasnt driving that well, its a pretty stiff cluttch so the car was bucking around a little lol) but anyway, i tell him i jsut got a new cluthc put in and was taking it around the lot to get the feeling for it, but wasnt really getting the hang of it and he just gave me my license back before i even had time to get my registration and he let me go.

but yea, the car has BALLS. im gonna try get a video today when i take her out for her first wash in over 4 months. i also got another new mod i know everyone here will hate, but i LOVE it. hold on tight for some photos later

it is, i scared the crap out of my friends when i did a 15-50 pull in 2nd, the car is as fast as i ever wanted it to be, i love it. once i get the oil lines figured out and get the car running a little less rich and tune the cold start, since it misfires a couple of times cranking in cold weather, ill be good. ill get pictures of the old clutch as well, the flywheel is in ok shape, its the clutch thats beaten to hell, its totally thrashed, no grip material on it, justt the metal plates, and it stinks like burned clutch, and so does my whole car lol.

anyway, im getting it cleaned at 12.30 and then ill have pictures for you guys, plus i have that new mod to show off lol.

im so happy because for a few hours i thought i wasnt going to be able to install my brand new suspension and brake kit, but now i will and the car will be pretty much done with stage 1 of my build!

Sounds great. Can't wait to see them pictures. For some reason, I feel like you are gonna need some new tires soon...
