Hi guys (and gals). Does any any have any experience with rockford t165-s in the front of a 1998 ex sedan? I have a RF p1000x5d running some jbl gto638's in it now. I have some polk db6501's on the way but. I was thinking of getting the rockford instead...if they will fit.

Top-mount depth: 2-15/16"

They will be very tight fit, even with a 3/4" mounting ring/spacer.

Solid. Quick helpful response. Nice work Schmiddr2 Bravo! I love this site for this reason most.
I'd throw you some rep on it but it won't let me from my phone.

Great, thanks so much for the fast response. I suppose that I will just stick with the Polk db6501's. They seem to get pretty decent reviews.

I'm using the JBL MS-62C (very shallow) and I like them a little better than the db6501. It would be cool if you could go listen to each of them at a store somewhere.

Thanks BB. This is a cool forum.

It would be cool if I had somewhere to compare the two.... but unfortunately I don't . The JBL's are just over twice the cost of the Polk's and while I am sure that they sound superb I am not sure that it is worth the price difference for me. Thanks a lot for the info schmiddr2, I have only been a member for a couple of hours and I'm finding out all kind of great stuff.
