took it for a little road trip today and almost finished the first tank of gas which was mostly my normal commute plus ~150 miles of all highway today, averaged 26.5mpg on 14.35 gallons (of 87) the 6th gen got like 24.5 on my commute and would hit 28-30 on the highway.

needless to say, i drive the 8th gen a little less...carefully

Nice! How did you like the ride? More comfortable than the 6thgen? I got only 27mpg on my first tank. But I think only 10 of the 300+miles were interstate.

Soooooo much better the ride is stiffer but still comfy and there's basically zero body roll. Handles bad roads nicely overall, even with 18" tires.

"only" 27mpg mostly city? the 6th Gen would go down that far with 10% city driving

True, I think my 6th gen with the roof rack only got like 22-23 on mixed driving.

a couple weeks before christmas, i bought a few small things...my parents "gave" me an OEM cargo net to add to the (used) trunk mat. also got some rubber floor mats, some touchup paint, and a handful of bumper clips.

too cold to install anything but the floor mats and trunk tray
