hey i had the same problem with my car, 1st 2nd n 3rd really hard to put in gear, i replaced the clucth and flywheel and problem fixed, i dont think is ur tranny, oh anotherthing, my problem only happened when the car was on, when the car was off it'll shift like normal. the ploblem was my flywheel not even the clucth. good luck

i dont think its the mounts because this all started after my axles were changed...wen i first did the tranny swap the gears were always hard to go in but i never had that issue...but i do have a worn and stock clutch and flywheel which i figured was the issue...ima actually gonna order it now...which clutches u guys like?? i have the exedy stage 1 in mind rite now..

so, am I understanding correctly? it makes the clunk when you are letting the clutch out, AFTER you have already put it into gear?

it isnt clunking while you are actually moving the shifter and putting it into 1st/2nd/3rd?

huh? if it was only when letting out the clutch, Id say look at the mounts too. and if it was only when shifting into the next gear id have to guess its something either loose in the shifter/cable assembly or worse, in the trans... but I hate intermittent problems like that that dont even have to have the same circumstances to occur...

when you say sometimes when shifting, could it be that you just pushed in the clutch while you were somewhat on the throttle, so that when you release the stress on the engine it can rock the other way while shifting enough for a mount to clunk? or even if you push the clutch in and wait a second, then shift, it might still do it while shifting?
