A orange Side Air Bag light comes on at random times in my car. I'm 99.99% sure it has something to do with the passenger side seat because when I hit the side withe the air bag in it really hard the light usually goes off. Is it a sensor? Is anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks.

P.S I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SRS LIGHT

Could some sensor issue in the seat, I only get the light when I have a passenger lean into the door too far. SRS...that's an led...I cut it...after I left the sunroof open and it rained. No MIL now!

Is there anything on the seat when it comes on? Sometimes if there isn't enough weight on the seat it won't trip the sensor and the light switches from on and off.
