So 8+ whp from synthetic oil?

yea I belive it syntetic oils are very good in my opinion. i dont use royal purple instead I use Q from quaker state and when I first use it for the first time I did notice a difrence.

I use royal purple :D ........i'm automatic so I don't feel anything but good to know I'm using good oil......probably buying mobile 1 next......if ur baller buy Eneos oil :thumbsup: $10/quart lol

Royal purp does give a bit of extra hp, but it's so little that, it really doesn't justify the price

workin at jiffy lube, i deal with the synthetic v conventional every day. it really wont do very much-maybe 1 or 2 mpg and i don't think hp really plays into it. but to each his own, i always use conventional and change it every 2500 to 3500 miles.

on a side note, i saw an interview with the head guy at either spoon or mugen, not sure, but he says he recommends using conventional with very regular oil changes, since thats the way honda designed the cars-and i believe what he says.

Yeah, i could see 2-3hp max on a 4 banger which isn't something you are really going to notice. 8+hp on a big v8, seems like it could happen. I used synthetic in my talon, i didn't feel any gains or anything.
