digging first pic man. iono bout u guys but i love scenaries. now i gotta learn how to work my dads camera. its a nikon D60 D-slr

Charge the batteries, put the lens on, and turn the thing on. Set it on auto or P mode just to mess around with it and get the feel of it and whatnot. You should be able to get some good pictures just doing that - once you feel more confident start playing with the other stuff. That's a good camera, tons of stuff you can do with it, you just gotta start!

thanks man, and that's how i started. I put it on auto and looked at what the camera used as shutter speeds and aperature and went from there. Now i normally leave it on manual.

the first pic was taken off of the chesapeake bay on the magothy river i'm right up the street from it. and thanks again guys.
