splicing headlight and foglight

i spliced the red wire for my parking lights and tapped one wire for the fog to that, then i grounded the other wire. the fogs worked for a few months but killed my battery and alternator, it happened twice.

i suggest hooking it up so it gets power from the battery, i needa find out how to do that.

ignore pin 87A, you won't have that on a regular 4 pin relay.

and instead of wiring it to a switch, wire it to your headlamp wire if you want.

I don't know what's so wrong with just wiring them to a switch, its not any more difficult.

Post a picture of the connectors..from the harness siide to the switch and to the switch to the harness..it would be easier to find out..ground simple, power, simple...switch..confusing without cable colors..

Im not sure. Im working now and I get out around 9:15pm. So not sure if I can make it. Ill let you know though =]
