if i go for a mild drop now (eibach pro kit),

can i get new shocks (with multiple perches or fully adjustable) + camber and go lower in the future?

(or are the pro kits made ONLY for stock shocks?)

i think you can get away with eibachs with stock shocks...i kno a lot of ppl that have done so...but no one recommends it...however i am on stock shocks with neuspeed sports springs...and i have no camber :D but i will end up with illuminas or koni yellows (so i can go lower later) so you can probably get away with no camber kit also...so do it if it is budger wise...thats what i did

what would the benefit of a set of springs/shocks like these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKI...590QQitemZ260099432818QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

as compared to just getting the pro kit?

same drop (1.5")
pro kit is cheaper (<$200 vs. $360)

so, are the shocks going to help me any? (handling, durability, etc...)

EDIT:

now i want those :D

anyone else think it'd be ok with the neuspeed sports on stock shocks?

i'd love to be dropped 1.8"/1.7" instead of 1.5"/1.5" :p

hey sorry 2 jack ur thread....
but....and_one:
how long have u been on neuspeed sports and stock shocks?

also... i got a set of eibach sportlines, and might be pickin up a set of neuspeed race springs. (if i can decide between the 2), will i be ok for a year or 2 usin the nuespeed race springs (or sportlines) on stock shocks?

i plan on gettin better shocks later in the future (hps, illuminas, koni yellows, etc) but im on a tight budget.

just wait until your struts/shocks blown. personally, you wouldn't need struts soon. because like everyone said, pro-kits is just a mild drop so it won't ruin the struts soon. but struts WILL give you a better handling.

the advantage to the blue kit is the springs and shocks are made for each other. if i didnt want adjustability, this is the setup id get.

you could get a prokit now, save up, and get shocks/sportlines later...then sell the prokit. id just save up and buy the good stuff at once, but thats me.

so... a mild drop w/ prokits is fine.... but,

should i be getting aftermarket shocks before i put on my sportlines? how long do u guys think my stock shocks last (sportlines/stock shock combo?) if i were to install them.

i kno its probably better to get everything at once for suspension... but i got a tight budget. n i just wanna kno if my planned setup will work. :)

sooner or later, you should buy new struts even if you don't have springs. because the ride will get stiffer because it's worn out. so i would just wait until it's blown.

i have been with stock shocks since november...but i kno that blindside was on his stock shocks for a year or so...and others have lasted like 2 or 3 years...so i say do it...im gonna probably get better struts or coilovers down the line

from all the reading ive done, prokits are the only "safe" lowering springs on stock shocks. some people have good luck with others like neuspeeds and sportlines and h&r, but why risk it and blow your shocks especially if you dont have a reserve of $ to replace them? know what i mean? like, why put on some 18s with bald tires? they look cool, but rims need tires to work their best (and be safe!!)
