Startup problem in Cold weather

Temperature - around - 20° C with windchill .

The car initially starts up.... then shuts down after few second.... after that i need to keep on trying for few minutes until the car starts.

The car does not need a jump start but sometime its very annoying to keep on doing this same thing in every cold winter morning....

I tried following to resolve this issue but no luck:

1. installed a new battery with higher CCA (850).
2. got the intake cleaned up.
3. installed a new distributor and rotor.
4. changed engine oil to synthetic.
5. used gas anti-freeze (with water removing formula)
6. cleaned the map sensor.

Planning to
1. get a new map sensor.
2. change the gas filter.

If anyone is familiar with this issue and knows the solution, please let me know.

I tried to look into the recall info but could not find anything useful.

Any other suggestions? what else can i do?

I'm battling this as well, although I'm pretty sure we're not as cold as you guys there...lol

When the car starts finally, do you have a low/rough idle? or is it find?

I donno how thoroughly you cleaned your intake, but the IACV seems to be a common culprit...i took mine out toda and it was filthy.

Might also be fuel pump...just an idea

Edit: From your videos, your symptoms are a bit different than mine. Mine dies right away ~1 second.
...and I don't think you should crank it for that long...lol but that's just me

Did you listen for your fuel pump before you keep trying to start the car? It should buzz for a few seconds. Also, your cranking your car too long, your going to burn out your starter motor.

Map sensor can be tested for resistance, although I dont know the correct pin out for Honda sensors, they are expensive, get the specs and test the sensor for OHMs before you go buying unnecessary part.

P0336 4 CKP Sensor Range/Performance - i am guessing that this is the root cause of the problem... will get it fixed next winter and see what happens... too expensive to replace the crank sensor...
