STI like idle on start up.

I have a '98 V6 Sedan, it runs great, but the last fews times I have started it up, it sounds like a boxster motor (STI'ish) for a few seconds, about 10, and then runs fine. I have a custom cat back, and an Injen SRI. I know what I am doing, so I am sure neither of those are the problem.

So it's just a little rough at first?

It's the daily driver for my wife and I, if it's a misfiring problem or something similar, it's urgent to me.

i'd check the spark plugs and plug wires. every time i've heard of people having their cars sound like a subaru, it's been related to loose plugs or such.
