hey guys, i installed components a while back and took out the stock speakers + bracket/baffles. i lost them in a move and now am trying to go back to stock. i removed my components and order a pair of coaxial speakers but no longer have baffles/brackets for them.

my question is do will my new coax speakers come with baffles? or am i supposed to use the stock ones. should i order a new set of stock baffles/brackets?

thanks.

They will not come with baffles. You might or might not need them anyway. Wait till they arrive, then hold them into the speaker hole to see if the window hits it...if not then just mount them to the door, if they do hit then get some 3/8" or 1/2" wood to make a spacer ring.

won't they sound really bad if the speakers are directly mounted to the door and have no baffles/spacers?

Well, not necessarily. There are some sound advantages to baffles; like stiffening the surface which dampens the vibrations of the door. But is it going to be noticeable, I doubt it.
