STRANDED :( pls send halp.

Ok so here are the symptoms. I was driving then the idle got rough. I pulled over and thebidledrops to about 100rpm . It then proceeds to die. Ifbibtry to start it , it wont start unless I give it gas. Once it starts it sits between 700-100 rpms then dies. It stays on if I give it gas but sounds like it might be misfiring or backfiring .. but its not a loud backfire. More like a stutter. Im also getting a p0171 .. which means its running rich ?. If I can think of more ill post it. Pls help.

On a semi related note , if I have an f23a4 which is ulev how will I get an h22 swap barred ?

Could be a clogged injector, map sensor could have gotten dirty, Did you fill up recently? Could be bad gas

Dam .. map is behind intake mani so I cant work on it on the side of the road .. how do I unclog an injector ? And I put some gas in yesterday but it ran fine til just now .. ive driven maybe 30 miles since outting that gas

To unclog a injector your gonna have to remove it (fairly easy) and get some injector cleaner. and the MAP sensor should be right where the intake goes into the engine (if you mean you can't get your hand or tools back there then ohhh okay, if not then, check there! )

is your engine light flashing at all?

:EDIT:Could also be a o2 sensor not reading right. You go over any rough roads lately? might have knocked it

Check/change distributor cap and rotor. Once had moisture get into mine, had the same problem. Just a thought
The engine isn't knocking rite?

A little update. I think it was bad gas .. I got it started and kept it up at about 3k rpm. After a while the idle started to go back to normal. I drove it for a while and it still stalled every now and fhen. Got to a gas station and put in some fuel injdctor cleaner and some 91 octane and now its running like a champ
