Subwoofer no Sound

I dont think you can fix it. Happened to me once. If you smell the back of the headunit it smells like something smoked it.

i took off my Pioneer double din and put my previous single din kenwood on. I did this hoping that I will be able to get some sound out of the subwoofer. But nothing at all! Their is power going to the amp. But no sound! I changed the setting on the headunit to see, but no luck. The rca cables are new. The subwoofer shows 1 ohms when i connect the voltmeter. so i have no idea where the problem is! I give up!

Check the RCA for voltage with a voltmeter. Keep in mind that sound is AC voltage. If there is voltage from the RCA, plug them into the amp and check for voltage out of the amp for the wires into the subwoofer.

i did that. i thought i was doing it wrong. So I tried AC and DC volts, but no reading at all. with and without the rca in amp

Did you check the RCAs themselves? If there is voltage through the RCAs, but not the amp, there is an issue with the amp internally. Did you check the fuses on the amp itself?

Yeah I checked the fuses on the amp and they are good. Tested them as well. I disconnected the rca from the headunit and reconnected again thinking it was not connected properly; but still nothing
