First off, Hello

I'm new to Hondas and have spent a few hours searching already. Here's the question. What direction do I go for struts/springs?

2002 Honda Accord EX v6 coupe
Heres the issue 245/40-18 tires
18x8 40 offset wheels
stock suspension 110k on it

I would like to lower it a bit to close the gap between the tire and fender, but everything I have read shows a 225/40-18 tire. I know what I have is not ideal and it sticks out a little but I got a screamin deal on the wheels and tires so I have to live with it for now. Anybody got a setup that would minimize the chance of crushing my fender while drastically improving the ride? Thanks for the help, I'm used to trucks and am just starting to improve this car a bit. The answer may be to trade someone for a better tire size to start. Also I realize I should have handled the suspension first but the deal came along and I had to jump on it.

yes 225 tires on a 8 width rim is fine.

400-450 is a pretty good budget. if u can save up to 600 u can get a set of ff type 1 coils.

wut amount of drop ur looking for? theres a good variety of springs out there.

Lemon I found that most people do run a 225, but my question is can I possibly run the 245's that I picked up? I'm not looking for much drop, just wanna clean up the look. Kinda looks like its floating. Thinkin 1.5 in front, 1.2 rear??

You're going to want a bigger drop if you want to get rid of that look...

I would say at least 2" to start to notice a difference.

The stock ride height is so high that even at 2" drops you're still going to have wheel gap; just no more of the 'floating' look you described lol

I already know about offset and all that, I'm more looking for a solution to what I have now. Trying to figure out if I can run the tires and find a susp. setup that will give a better ride, reduce body lean and pretty much just keep the tires outta the sheet metal.
