Tail light tinting

Sorry lol posting to many light threads. I have an 01 coupe with the whole bar across the back you know. I know you guys all use vht spray tint on your tails, but i was wondering if maybe window tint would work or even do a better job? Never used the stuff so i dont know how easy it will peel off the exterior.

ya ive already read those.. i dont how they answer the question of what the effects of using window tint instead of the vht spray tint will be....

sometimes telling people to search isnt always the best answer.. i have obviously already seen what others are doing, i am asking what results something totally diffrent will yeild.

Tint is cheap, give it a try and see what you get.

I don't think window tint is as durable as a few coats of VHT or Pactra, and I believe the tint will look duller. My guess.

On the contrary, VHT looks duller IMO than tint. I have tint and my friend used the spray (correctly) and my tailights have a nice gloss while his are duller and not as smooth. The tints have been on for a year with no problem.

My bad, I am the asshole. I swear when I read it the first time the pic I linked that the guy used window tint.

its ok the guy said something about tint but then everyone said vht. i might post alot of **** lol but i usually do some research before i ask questions. Its fine dude not really a big deal i just hate that answer lol.

lol, tint with VHT, and spray a few clears, its gonna look pretty dark but wont effect light output.

30%
