tc projectors in OEM headlights?

So my friend has a 2010 scion tc and he got some aftermarket headlights. He has no more use for his old OEM headlights so I figured, why not use his projectors in my headlights. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this or any advice with this project.

No experience with them at all, but my buddy at work has a 2010 TC. And searching around i think it was on the Hidplanet forums i found a guy that swapped our the TC projector for S2000 ap1s or w/e and he said it was almost a direct swap. So id guess its do able for our cars. They are Halogen projectors in the TC, but the cut off is there and its not bad.

edit: also if you go for it, let me know id be interested in the rest of the housing

Meh, halogen projectors are inferior to other options out there usually....

Take his old headlights and sell them for some HID projectors. If you're going to go through the work of retrofitting your headlights, why not do it with some legit HID projectors as opposed to halogen ones?

I honestly didn't know the differences in halogen projectors and HID projectors until today. I like the HID projectors better but I don't no if i'm really going to get the HID projectors in the future.

gonna work the same, just better output out of Hid projectors right? they look great in my buddies TC hes rocking a 5k DDM tuning kit

i have halogen projectors on the WRX and i bought DDM HID's and i can definitely tell the difference when im next to a TSX. i feel a little embarrassed.

his cut off is sharper, more light is aimed at the right places...mine feel like they're everywhere and not as bright. i sometimes have to double check my lights are on.

I hope the aftermarkets he bought are better than his OEM's, if not he'll regret trashing them.
