hey need some input on some coilovers i might be getting soon. this guy on craiglist is selling them brand new to me for 600... just wanted to know what im getting into? herd they blow out after a certain time.. but im not 1 to race (i drive fast sometimes thats it).. i just use my car for daily driving and dont plan to lower my car that low...so if im just using them for daily driving how much longer should they last??? and if they usually do blow how much will it cost to fix??? what coilovers are out there that will last longer without giving up on me that is not to pricey??

They ride great like a oem feel and i have never heard of basic's blowing unless they been tracked for a while. To rebuild a blown shock is 75 or 100 dollars can't remember but that sending them directly to tein. Im selling mine because i want something that goes a bit lower and has damper adjustment on them

for $600? Teins are soft, just a basic coilover...Imo save a lil more and get a fully adjustable set...You'll have more advantage and more stuff to play with...
check the thread for steve's amr coilovers....I have function and form and no problems

hey man i just got tein basics too and they ride pretty good almost oem 600 brand new never been used is a good price as far as being blown this is true but it depends on the driver a couple of my friends have basics installed on different hondas and they all lasted the cars lifetime except one of my buddy who used to just ran into potholes and that led to him blowing his, so just drive normal and you'll be fine

Welded on? lol no..there is a pinch bolt on the bottom and your basic strut mounting bolts on the top shelf. Teins do have one downside. They DO NOT have independent height & spring rate adjustment. Meaning when your adjust your height you're also adjusting your spring rate.
