Ticket for HID in Texas

regardless if the trooper was a dick, it could just be that the cop didnt car when you passed him.

i had really dark window tint on every window except the windshield for a year before i got stopped for it. then it got dropped, and i removed the tint. about a month ago when the weather was nice (in January in NY, no less) i put even darker tints in. luck plays a big role

The cars that come with them factory usually have projectors, or they are built to properly project the beams off the reflectors. There is no way you can compare the Accord with aftermarket HIDs to those.

2G TL’s and CL’s, Infiniti I35’s, 3rdgen Maxima’s…all came with HID’s that weren’t projectors. But I agree their reflectors were made for HID and that it is different putting an aftermarket kit in headlights that weren’t made for them.

Not always. And only if you dont aim them properly. Ive had mine for over a year and ive been all over this state and have never gotten ticket.

Agree. I’ve never gotten flashed or ticketed once for all the years I’ve run them. Just have to be smart about it.

actually depending on the color of your HID's you could beat that case ... I got pulled over once heading to bridgewater NJ where I use to work at (was going to see a girl tho) and the cop pulled me over for multiple things, one was for my HID's. I have 8K and due to other tickets I had to get a lawer. The lawer told the judge the reason why I got the HIDs is because I travel thru dark roads in the AM and need the extra light to see small animals. The judge dismissed that ticket. (the lawer said it a different way to the judge and I didn't understand but before court he told me he would say basiclly that)

I don't know if that was a valid reason or if the judge didn't care about that one particular ticket because I had worse one on the table but you should look into that


PS the lawer told me if my HIDs would have been some other color then white I would have been screwed with that ticket

Why? Anything beyond 4500K and you start LOSING usable light. 8000K would provide LESS usable light than a 5000K setup. Thusly, if you needed "more light" you shouldn't have had 8000K. Not saying it shouldnt have been dismissed, just saying that if you needed extra light, you would've, and should've, had something lower than 8000K.

^^ Didn't know that above 4.5K you start losing light output .... I always thought it was 6K ... The reason why I got 8K is because it has a very slight hint of blue in it

just take it off, put stock bulb on, and go to court, and tell judge, sorry, and tell the judge u already fix it...
