I'm looking at getting the wings west W type lip kit that so many of you have on here.

My car is pretty slammed, and I was wondering if those of you with this kit could comment on the scraping you encounter with it. It seems to hang off the bumper/sides a significant amount, and I was wondering how difficult it would be to go up/down driveways with it (is it even possible?).

It's either going to be this or a Type R lip, which appears to hang off much less.

Thanks!

Coupe or sedan? If you're talking about the sedan, yes you will scrape it if you're slammed. What's cool though is that the whole kit is made of polyurethane so it will bend but it will be really hard for it to break. The paint might crack off but it'll be a lot better than replacing an ABS one a million times on top of painting it. With some careful driving you will be fine.

On a side note, my friend is selling the entire WW kit for a sedan and I'm holding the front and rear for him, and you'd just have to ship the sides to CA.

the W-Type really doesn't hang THAT low. I had it on my car, and yes I did scrape, but that comes with the territory.

Get the WType kit instead of the type R Kit. If you are lowered, and has a lip kit, you WILL scrape, it's just a matter of time.

At least when you have the polyurethene kit, you know when you scrape, it'll still be intact, and not shattered.

Thanks

Hmm, sounds like I should get the WW. How is going up driveways? I'm going to be hellaflush so it's difficult enough getting up driveways already, would I just have to expect it to scrape everytime?

It just depends on how low you really are, how much you really care about your car, how steep the driveway is, and how much experience you have driving a car that's dumped...

i have a wings west lip kit and im pretty low. your front lip and sides are going to take a beating. regarding going up driveways you just gotta go at an angle. if u get the wings west you will get used to the scraping lol. you just gotta drive carefully but its a lip kit that is pretty hard to break.

You can shave down the ends of the side skirts on the WW kit if you are that concerned about scraping.

I think Keith/Moleman and a few others have suggested that.
