Hi there !

I just joined the forum and this is my very first post. I have a 2000 Accord V6 4dr just acquired recently but giving me some issues. I do own a 3rd gen Accord LXi for over 20 years so I'm not too foreign with the Accord.

I did search the forum and googled for a while and didn't find a solid answer.

(1) I ran out of gas while the fuel level gauge still showed about 1/8 tank. Low fuel light didn't light up (as most cars are). I have the FSM and did the troubleshooting. First thing I noticed was the voltage to the fuel level sending unit was about 10 volts, while the FSM says 5-8 volts. It then said to check for poor ground G552. I have studied the diagram but cannot figure out where G552 is. I checked the wire hardness near the rear speakers and did not see any wire bolted to the frame. I took out the fuel pump and measured the resistance with respect to various float location and verified the sending unit is fine. The low fuel level sensor is bad (no closing when expose to air, not submerge into fuel), I verified by shorting pin 1,3 on plug as the FSM said and the light on gauge lighted up. I yanked out the cluster and inspected the circuit board and re-soldered all three connectors (one pin was like a dry crack solder joint). I then put everything together and fill the gas up and the needle go up to Full. Anyway, I want to make sure I check G552 but cannot find it. Does anyone know where it is ?

(2) The car threw a CEL today, code 7 - TPS. I noticed the car has slight hesitation during very light throttle around 50mph. I know the TPS needed to be replaced and the bolt needed to be treadmilled and unscrewed. But I cannot find any information if the V6 and I4 are using the same TPS. I went to advance auto site, autozone site etc and there seems to be no distinction between V6 and I4. Can anyone confirm its the same TPS regardless of engine size ?

Thanks.

-AC
