These transmissions are garbage, slipping is a very common problem. I'm on my 3rd trans and its not slipping yet, but making all kinds of weird noises. I'd suggest going to a local yard and getting one cheap from there and just using it till it dies. Or you can do the 5-spd swap or pay someone to do it for you. But if you just want something to keep your car going, a junkyard is the cheapest route.

Where in WV are you, I've got one that needs rebuilt I'd probably let go for cheap if you can't find anything else.

:furious::furious:Junk yards around my area want to charge $1000-1200. Too rediculous for me. What all is involved in a 5 speed swap? Like what parts will I need to change? Computer, axles, trans, wire harness? Can anyone give me a list of parts needed? Thanks Im new to hondas. This Is my first one I owned and starting to not like it. Thought hondas were cheaper to work on.:furious:

If you are just now getting into hondas a 5 speed swap is not for you unless you have someone close by that has done it to help and yeah, those prices are a bit rediculous... I wonder what the warranty an a $1200 transmission is??? If its less than a year, I would tell them to get bent....
