I'm looking to buy a type-r Grill, and after jus missing the sales that were in the FS forum here I turned to eBay. While searching, I found two dominant types of results, one which I have never seen and the other with questionable quality.

Example 1:
I have never seen this type of grill before, and I have never seen it on anyone's Accord, so I bring it to you fellows for evaluation.

The plus to this is that it's black already, but I think it looks a little tacky....very tacky.

Example 2:
This is more of the typical Type-R grill with the mesh behind it, but if you look at the picture the mesh looks deformed like it doesn't fit properly. Is this how all of them are? I know I'd have to paint this one, but that wouldn't be that big a problem at all.

If you guys could give me a hand that would be great. Also, anyone still selling their type-r grill I am very interested in buying. I like to help out the forum as much as possible.

Thanks for your time.

#1 Is pretty ugly....:lawl:

I would go with #2 even though the mesh looks jacked up doesn't mean you couldn't straighten it out... besides that is just a generic pic... they've been using that image for at least a year on ebay.. :)

Yeh, that's what I was figuring. Number 2 is the one I was going to go with, but I didn't know if the mesh would be like permanently jacked up. I know painting it will be easy, just didn't know if everyone's type R grill has bent up mesh like that.

I kinda like the first one, but I bought the second one. The mesh was a little crooked like that when I got it but I was able to straighten it out easily. It's held on my screws on the back so I just took half of 'em off and pulled it up and put them back in.

I might just put some different mesh on it though because the stuff it came with it very flimsy, probably go find some while it's getting painted.

The thing is, the mesh is going to be painted black on the second one so you won't be able to see it really.

The only reason I was giving option 1 some heat was because i have NEVER seen it on anyone's 6thgen before.

Do you have a picture of the grill on your car?
