Actually it looks pretty nice with gold spokes and polish lip. Seen one in person before, but thats just me.

Crappy DIY painted gold wheels look awful. Professionally painted gold wheels w/polished lip is hawt. For example...

Yes that does look nice but I feel as it mainly looks good because of the wheel style if I were to do it it wouldnt stand out as much

I was more trying to convey that if a quality paintjob is done, it can look great regardless of style. What I mean is the paint needs to have the right amount of flake, it needs to be the right shade of gold, the paint needs to stop sharply where the lip begins, etc etc

I agree some wheels look better in gold than others, but I think the C5 would look good.

Yeah maybe you are right about that. The only thing is the lip on the c5 isnt as deep and I'm not sure if it will affect the look. I'm going to try the galaxy grey once that's done if im still not happy with it I was considering something similar to rays wheels gold/bronze color
