Re: New Noises After Lowering

Finally got a video of the creaking. http://youtu.be/sHZ1RBOVPn0

It only seems to happen in warmer weather. It's harder to record the rattling noise since it only happens while I'm driving. I was was told it might be the exhaust bracket since it doesn't har the flex room anymore.

New Noises After Lowering

My theory was simple, but it could be wrong.

The coilovers are stiff, and our cars are rattle boxes. However some of y'all's situations are different.

This thread is scary lol. After I put my fnf on last night. I did not experience any noise. Which I hope I do not for the price Lmao. But hopefully this doesn't happen to me

Stock struts are not designed for sleeves or lowering springs.
Most company's recommend replacing struts after 50k.
I would say it was a combination of worn out struts n the springs causing the strut to compress more then it should

That's what I thought, but the sound persists even with my Tein coilovers. I think it might be the exhaust. I'm looking to hose clamp it up this week.

As for the creaking, I'm hoping the five lug conversion with take care of any sounds. I've already taken a grease gun to every joint I could find.

King, you're right about the stock struts and lowering springs, though. Before I put my Teins on I'd hear a dull metallic thud every time I'd hit a bump.
