theoretically, using the oem part shouldn't mess with alignment. we measured before and after (moved the car once the wheel was back on), and also measured the control arms themselves, and they were identical.

if you have a second jack or use a jack stand to support the car once its in the air (which you should at all times ), you can push up and down on the bottom of the hub to get the control arm bolts out past the spring and strut without removing that assembly.

For sure it's your uca. fyi don't flake out and buy the cheapy cheap ones from ebay. I learned that the hard way and few months later I ended up buying OEM and never looked back.

Just get the oem UCA and call it a day. or try moog. Personally the way i see it is that if oem lasted 10-12 years, its worth it just to get it again for another 10-12 years.
