Kinda new to this but here goes, ok I got a v6 accord, and I already have a fine flowing stock head, I was just wondering if any other head that would fit right on, maybe even with some modifactions if neccessary?

I know for a fact the cl or tl 3.2L heads are a little bigger and flow much better, which are my first choices.

But I pretty much want a strong, better flowing head, built to with stand some boost;)

Also if anyone knows of any companys/websites that make after market parts for our motors such as cams, pistons, rods, ect. Please let me know. Thanks.

Welcome...

Just swap in the full j32a2 (tl-s,cl-s). Bolts right to your tranny, or you could take the 6spd tranny from an 03 cl-s as well. Look around there is a **** ton of info around here and on v6performance

compression ratio?

I'm just trying to figure out what is the compression ratio for the j series motors, mainly the j30a1 (accord v6) and the j32a2(the cl-s motor) or the tl motor? All help is appreciated.

turbo manifolds?

Does anyone know of any crazy turbo manifolds for the v6 accord motors? I'm asking about other than the regular 6-3-1 shaped manifold, which is not too much bigger than the headers, if at all. If you know of a company or someone who doesn custom work, the help would be appreciated:)

Re: turbo manifolds?

what do you mean...like tubular manifolds? chances are, if you havent seen any in your research, youll have to have a pair custom made.

Re: compression ratio?

J30A1 = 9.4:1
J32A2 = 9.8:1 Type S = 10.5:1 ** used in CL and TL

up to 03 TL = 9.8:1 Type S = 10.5:1
04 and up TL = 11.0:1

J32A2 heads will work, need to mod the piston valve pocket to clear larger valve.
J35A4 heads are better. Bolt right up. --- I think.

There are no companies that make aftermarket internals for the J30A1. Your best bet is to swap Honda/Acura parts for all engines. However, I believe Power Rev Racing is making race application valves for the J32A2 heads. I havent really read about this...just a glance.

I cant answer your question for using a certain cylinder head for boosting.
Go over to V6performance.net and read....read alot. 02AV6(older posts) and NVA-AV6(newer posts) have great info over there.

J32 Heads are a direct bolt up and have the largest valves of any Honda V6. 36mm Intake/ 30mm Exhaust. To do the swap you would need the intake plenum and manifold from a J32 as well as the rails and injectors and TB from a J32. As mentioned above the cylinder pocket would have to be modified so the larger valves will have clearance. If your going to modify the pocket you might as well do a 30 bore and sleeve your cylinders to reinforce your block if your planning on boosting.

Sadly like WHEELMAN said their is not much performance support for our engines when it comes to our actual engines themselves. No internals, or cams, or heads, or stroker cranks, or anything of the sort. Your best bet would be to go to the junk yard grab a rod and a piston from any J30A1 send them off to Eagle or Crower and have them make you some nice new forged internals. As far as cams go the J32 Camshaft also has the highest lift out of any Honda V6 as well. So are really your best bet unless you want to spend an enormous amount of money for custom cams. You can build your head however with things like new rocker arms springs and valves.

In short there are many possibilities for these motors if you've got $$$$$ and you can think outside the box. Just about any performance mods outside of I/H/E, have to be fully custom.

There is a decent array of suspension products however for our accords, Tanabe, Tein, Eibach,etc. which is a great thing. As well as brake calipers and rotors, Brembo, and Rotora both supply performance brake products for our cars.

Welcome to 6th gen and good luck. I have a boosted J30 pushing about 10psi at this point its a long and hard road to turbo bot soo worth it man. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Re: turbo manifolds?

I'm talking about like a different type of turbo exhaust manifold, other than the only one that I've seen, the 6-3-1, is there any bigger ones or routed differently.

Re: turbo manifolds?

gonna have to be custom made..only ones iv seen on v6s are the ones your talking about that comes with the 500$ ebay kit...but im gonna say theres not much more room v6 people have for a tubular manifold that dosnt just go down like normal.
our 4cyl have decent amount of room and its still hard to fit ramhorn or diff manifolds due to where our AC lines and radiator fans are.
