There is so much missing here. The V6 car is so different from the 4 cylinder car that you may as well sell and purchase another car.

You would literally have to gut and replace everything in the engine bay. It's best to look into an F20B, H22A, or G23 (F block with H head) swap. I personally think the 6GA handles better in 4cyl form with less weight in the front.

yeah, just go with the tried and true h22. i'd do the h22 over the f20b because it has more torque...the f23 in your car now actually has more torque than the f20b comes with.

if you really must have a v6, you'll save yourself a lot of headache, time and money if you just sell your i4 accord and buy a v6 accord. you have to rearrange things in the engine bay. the v6 abs module for one is on the other side of the engine bay. you'd need the v6 front subframe as well. those are only two things, but i'm sure there's more to it. it would just be much easier for you to start with a v6 accord.

True our car is pretty heavy already and adding a V6 to your car would add a lot more weight

I am also curious about this...but I have one up on original post-er guy...I have the front clip (dash and everything forward) of a '98 V6 car. It was one I owned at one time but was barrel-rolled... Since I have all the internals of the engine bay, would it be easier to swap the engine or go and buy a V6 car and do the 6MT swap?

I can appreciate the desire to do a swap, but this is about the 4+ inquiry about a 4cyl to v6 swap.

I STILL don't understand why anyone would consider doing this to the Accord.

It doesn't even make sense to bother.

The amount of work/money that it would take to make it happen. Better off starting with the platform you want and swap in the engine of choice, rather than trying to cross-swap like that.

There is a reason why no one has done this swap, it's an Accord, and it's not even worth the effort.

it can be done, but it's just the amount of work to be done that makes it really not worth it. one thing you have to redo are the brake lines and stuff for the abs, that alone would just make me say no haha. you're really better off starting with a v6 chassis than putting a v6 in the i4 chassis.
