Werd. Some of the best bbq I've had was in Memphis.

I'm kind of new to this forum, BUT I have lived in memphis for a 1/4 of a century now. Personal opinion, Corkys is the best BBQ in memphis, but I could be wrong.

Just an idea, my work has a group of about 200 vette drivers that come annually. I work at the Hilton. 460+ rooms, a HUGE parking lot, over 80,000 sq ft of banquet rooms...the only problem is, it isn't free...

I'm down for the meet btw!!

What type of nightly rates can be had for double occupancy at the Hilton?

I was thinking BBQ + Memphis was without question. Glad to see everyone in agreement.

I too, will be riding down with a co-pilot, not sure if there will be any wingmen heading down as well, but I guess we will see closer to the time.

well... my car is probably not going to be in working order for the meet now... ****. i hate this.

tttriple post... but, i am still going to go to the meet.. but i seriously don't think i will be bringing the accord... its so ****ed up i know and this is my idea and everything but man. its at 213k miles and i am pretty sure my block is cracked which is why its over heating.. i just put in a new radiator last week and its still over heating.. if its the water pump, a hose or the thermostat is sticking, i can fix that and will be bringing it up to Memphis. pray its only one of those.

Damn, sorry about the issues, I hope it's something that can be fixed beforehand. But if not, glad you still plan on making it. Keep us posted...

I will talk to the sales group today If I can, but from 3-6 I'm literally sprinting around the kitchen getting ready for the night. Worst case scenario, I get the number of a sales rep and pass it on to who ever is going to set everything up.

Well, my tranny is slipping a lot on the 1-2 shifts... So either I'll still be babying this thing all the way to Memphis, or I'll be there with a new 6 speed swap
